Could also try setting the verify emails to false? I had that issue (although on windows server) & after setting that to false I could send emails.

Are you on a shared host using cPanel? If so, and your email server is not on the localhost, then your host may need to add your domain to the /etc/remotedomains file and remove it from /etc/localdomains in order for your emails to be sent. We ran into this problem on our dedicated linux server with cPanel. Maybe this will help.

Otherwise, have you checked your error logs for php errors when trying to use sendmail?

I just found out something that might help some people that are having trouble with email sending - I have built several OSC stores, and the email always worked except on one site - I had the store email address as upper and lower case (MyStore@mystore.com) rather than lower case (mystore@mystore.com) - it was as simple as that - so check your email address and it might be the solution.

We use CPanel & base Linux server

I use this setting :

E-Mail Transport Method : SMTP

E-Mail Linefeeds : LF

Use MIME HTML When Sending Emails : true

Verify E-Mail Addresses Through DNS : false

Send E-Mails : true

The email will be received by customer but the message is blank

I use FCK Editor in Email Admin

I am having a hard with the same thing of emails not sending or receiving.

E-Mail Transport Method : sendmail

E-Mail Linefeeds : LF

Use MIME HTML When Sending Emails : false

Verify E-Mail Addresses Through DNS : false

Send E-Mails : true/false <--------I don't even have this option. Was it removed in the newer versions?
