GemRock
you said your had finally managed to get through the installation of osc, but be honest, i am not impressed by the way it was done: if you had to manually write the configure files then something must be seriously wrong about the server which must be addressed before you move on, and now you see problem popping out (which is related to that during the installation) and i am afraid more to come although i wish i were wrong. btw, it is not windows a problem when i said you were on a wondows IIS server, it is the IIS that is the problem: osc by and large is for Apache web server. there is not much a problem if on a windows/apache server. Hope you in the future be 'choosy' about what server you use for osc. sorry for not being able to help solve this particular problem you posted above. Good Luck! cjamesme
Yes my server is IIS. Does this mean that an OsCommerce site will be almost impossible to create? If I had Linux hosting would it be very easy to create the OScommerce site? Is it different in anyway to a Windows server?

Maybe try something like EasyWAMP an Apache server that you can run on windows (XP at least) - Free download OsC installs and works a treat on this once you have got your paths correct. Of course it depends on whether you have any control on what is on the hosting platform
