timm_tem
Hello I am after some help with the PayPal EC for OSCommerce V2.23 module PLEASE! I have installed it that all went great documentation is very clear. According to PayPal there are 6 steeps to EC... 1. After selecting products to purchase, your customer chooses to pay with PayPal. Customers also have the option of using your existing checkout for credit card payments. 2. Your customer is transferred to PayPal (HTML redirect, Name-Value Pair API). 3. Your customer logs in to their account and confirms their postal address and billing information that PayPal has stored. Your customer clicks Continue to use PayPal to pay for their purchase. 4. Your customer is transferred back to your website to review their order and complete the checkout process (HTML redirect, Name-Value Pair API). 5. Your customer submits their order on your website. Your website makes an API call to PayPal to process the transaction; this is invisible to your customer. Once the payment is processed, PayPal sends your website a confirmation (Name-Value Pair API). 6. Your customer is taken to your order confirmation screen. I get through step 1-3 then I am not sure but what I can tell you is... I get to the PayPal "Review your information" page then I press continue and I get sent back to my site again?? with the cart still full and nothing been paid for? So I would love to know where I have gone wrong! Any help would be great, Thank you in advance Tim
aziz.mahmoudy
Hello Tim, Actually with the EC short cut, after choosing your products cart and pressing the PayPal shortcut button, you are directed to the PayPal website to define your PayPal account with which you are going to pay (there's no payment at this stage!), then you are redirected to your website to confirm your billing address and then to confirm the payment (at this stage, in the back office there's an API call from your website to execute the payment on the PayPal account selected before), then you get the confirmation order page. hope it helps Aziz Edited December 12, 2008 by aziz.mahmoudy
