New Template Configuration

Downloaded a complete template package for osCommerce. How can I get rid of everything and install this completely, do not like the setup osCommerce has, and can only figure out how to change the existing format, not to completely install a new template with all the php files, etc. already included.

I am very new to all of this, so please bare with me. I downloaded a custom template with all the php files etc, because I do not like the way osCommerce's site looks when you first download it. I have uploaded all the files for the new template, but how do I make my url, etc. point to this site, and get it operational. I did the quick upload procedures from the post I read, but when it says go to your url and click install, this is what my url now says:

Index of /

Home_Page.php

New_Products.php

Sales.php

adobe_link.gif

cgi-bin/

clothes/

os/

thumbnails/

various290/

Any help would be appreciated. I only wanted a site to sell products on. Didn't realize I had to configure most of the site myself.

What you have uploaded here is not an osC structure. You are seeing Index of/ because there is no index page at your root. You may need to try again. Not seeing any trace of osC in your root.

Ok, at the Index of page, if I click the "os", it takes me to my original osCommerce site, but the "clothes" that you see is the complete template that I uploaded and am trying to use for my site. How can I fix this??
