kozen
I could not find an answer in this forum nor "in" Google. The problem: A customer can go to my oscommerce installation, put an item into the cart, select PayPal (I use the basic PayPal module) and then checkout. Once the PayPal site loads, the user just enters http://myshop.com/checkout_process.php in the browser oscommerce treats the items (that were in the cart before the customer left the shop to PayPal) as bought. As I am selling downloadable goods this is really bad. They can download it immediately :( Is there any solution for this? Any help would be appreciated. Well, I'm pretty new to this myself, but under modules, payment, paypal, you can set the order status to pending. This should allow you to verify that they actually paid before they can download. It may be a little more work for you, but at least it is a temporary fix for now.

Thanks for your note but to be honest: that is not a productive solution. The whole idea is to purchase an item an then being able to download it straight away... This bug is very obvious and many people should have experienced this before. There must be a simple solution for this...

I have an idea of how you might could fix the problem, but as I'm not a programmer, have no idea as to how to implement it. Anyway, you can set your preferences in paypal to automatically re-direct the customer back to the site after they pay. If you could get OSCommerce to not set the flag as having been paid until after that re-direct somehow, I think this should fix the problem.
