jwray100
Some of my products have information files, manuals, demo videos, etc. that I want to allow a customer to download while looking at the product (no need to purchase in order to get the download). I want the download links to be displayed as part of the product description. I would prefer a box off to the side with the download links and an icon for the file type (pdf, wmv, etc.) I have searched the forums and contributions and cannot find what I'm looking for. Can anyone help me with how to set this up? Thanks, Joel
FIMBLE
sounds like you may need to get your cheque book out! Sometimes you're the dog and sometimes the lamp post [/url] My Contributions
♥14steve14
Could you put some HTML code in your product descriptions that lead to the file that needs to be downloaded. Something like <a target=\"www.your site.com/freebies/whatever the .zip\" href=\"http://www.your site.com/freebies/whatever the.zip\"> You would then need to create a folder in your root or catalog folder called freebies, and load all your zip files there. It may work. REMEMBER BACKUP, BACKUP AND BACKUP

It may work. That's probably what I will wind up doing. I was hoping someone might know of a contribution I missed in my search that took care of creating the box and the icon to go with the link.
