spunkypup
I need some assistance... I've been hunting everywhere for insurance ( Product Liability upto £1m ) but no where seems to understand my industry. I am selling New Car parts for the Peugeot 206 .... from home! Apparently.. "Mail Order" or "Automotive Spares" are not valid industries! Any advice or companies you can recommend to try?????
GemRock
i must admit i for one do not understand 'your industry', or more precisely, your country, ie, the country where you are selling in and the customers are from, because i reckon insurance/product liability is very much an issue that varies from country to country. you could be asking a question that potentially has over 100 answers as there are over 100 countries in the world. having said that, generally speaking, you should not be the only one whos selling the products in question, so why not just take a look at others (even one of your local dealers) who doing the same as yours, to see how they go about it, then just follow suit. GemRock
sorry, i somehow seemed to miss the title of your post, which stated you were in fact talking about UK legislatiom/regulations. I bought car parts myself before but that issue never occurred to me. i'd have thought it is a matter the one who make it not the one who sells it but i could be wrong as i am no expert on this. if i were the seller then i would first talk to the supplier/manufacturer first, or seek official advice from some other relevant authorities.
