I haven't found a solution in my searches: The "Tell a Friend" function has never worked properly for me so I commented out the code. Instead of sending an email it just adds a product to the shopping cart. Similarly, when changing currency from a product detail page or from the shopping cart, the currency doesn't change and the item is mistakenly added to the shopping cart.
