Guest Posted January 22, 2003 Posted January 22, 2003 i have client they want to add sales tax to shipping costs if any of the items are taxable...anyone know of contributions or quick fix for this...long shot i reckon THANKS
♥Loaded Commerce Posted January 24, 2003 Posted January 24, 2003 I belive you can simply change the order of the tax ans shipping n the osc admin / modules - order total, put tax after shipping. Also you can assign a tax class to shipping there as well. Best Regards, Salvatore Iozzia Loaded Commerce - Oscommerce - All Loaded Up.
hobbzilla Posted January 24, 2003 Posted January 24, 2003 I don't think that works.. at least it didn't for me.. I have sort orders as follows: Shipping 2 Sub-Total 1 Tax 3 Total 4 and I also set Shipping's Tax Class to the only tax class available for me "Taxable Goods" still, my tax is calculated on sub-total. After some more discussion, this may need to be submitted as a bug.
hobbzilla Posted January 24, 2003 Posted January 24, 2003 update: I also tried to make shipping sort order 1, then subtotal 2 to no avail.. it seemed logical. So, without looking at the code.. the sort order is simply for display puposes and not for business logic.
