How do I make the Tax Code work for my state?

Hello, I am new to this forum and new to using oscommerce. I have to sites that I am trying to get up and running.

One of the problems that I am having is if someone buys from Idaho, it will not calculate the tax for this state in which I live in. How I know this is I have tried it. I thought I had the tax section set up in my admin right, but it seems that I don't. I have tried to put Taxable Goods under the product description and all that did was put another cent under the actual price that I am asking for. So I am a little lost on this subject. Could someone clue me into what I am doing wrong.

Thanks

Rob

I have downloaded the osdox, went to the tax portion of the book did what I thought it said to do and still am having the same issue.

I do not see the sales tax when I checkout under the confirmation page. If someone knows what I need to download to read to make this work thats all I need.

Not sure if this is the issue, but if you have Idaho set as the taxable state, the taxes will show up if shipping to an Idaho address.

It doesn't matter if the billing address is in Idaho...it's the shipping address that counts.

Ship from Idaho to Idaho. Does this make a difference?

d-woo it doesn't seem to make a difference at all. It still comes up as $0.0. What real dumb question, do I need to have all of my product under there description have the tax set to taxable goods?
