allright
Hi all, I am using Ultimate SEO URL and Google Sitemap together in my online store. One problem I encountered is that the XML file generated by Google Sitemap is still using the old URL format, not SEO URL format. How to resolve this problem? thank you. MontanaMan
Go to Admin > Configuration > My Store. Find "Use Search-Engine Safe URLs" and set it to "True". Then run the Google SiteMap again, and it should generate the Ultimate SEO URLs. Hope this helps. MontanaMan
The settings you quoted above are under your "SEO URLs" settings, under "Configuration" in the admin panel. You need to look in a different location. Under "Configuration" you will see a link for "My Store." Click on that link, and you should see an option for "Use Search-Engine Safe URLs" This is part of the original osCommerce, not part of the SEO URLs contribution. So ... look in Admin > Configuration > MY STORE, and you'll see the setting. Hello Robert, Thank you for your reply, my SEO URL is turned on. Jack_mcs
The Use Search-Engine Safe URLs option should not be used. I tihnk there might be one url rewriter that may use it, but Ultoimate SEO doesn't and, in fact, having it on with Ultmate SEO will most likely casue problems. I suspect your actual problem is the version of the google sitemap you are using. Be sure to use version 1.3 by Chemo and it should work correctly.
