drop-down menu for the States column [2.2_US_2003.01.15]

Hello,

 

I use 2.2 US version (2003.01.15) that does not show a drop-down menu for the States column as some older versions do.

 

I need do get this working and dynamically refreshed depends on the Country.

 

Is someone has allready make all the changes needed to perform that action ? or is there someone who could help/advise me ?

 

I have tryed some experimental (!!!) changes with a look on the files code of an older version (witch has this dynamic drop-dow menu) to see how it is built but in fact there is little bug when i make this by myself :oops: . The first thing i tryed make my process to not get the create_account_succes.php page ..... i 've got no errors but when i press the continue button at the bottom of the create_acount_process, the page always reload with all the data ...no way to get the succes page.

The other way i tried let me finish the process witout errors, all the data are well incremented in the database (i can see all the data of the new customer in the admin section) but when i return on the defaut page , the customer is not recognize . maybe a problem with the tep_customer_greeting() function that cannot get the data of the new customer..... i need to relogin with the mail & password of that new customer to be recognize

 

BREF !! in fact i don't know how to continue investigations !

 

SO if one of you has worked on this project of drop-down menu for the states fields with a dynamic gestion of the country selected or get any ideas to make it works, i'll be very very very interested :lol:
