I changed the email setting in the administration area to "SMTP", but is there another setting somewhere that I need to adjust to get this to work with godaddy? I tried using the forgot password, but never received it. Then I tried emailing my user account through the admin area, and never received that one either. When I checked with GoDaddy to see if they knew what was wrong, they said I didn't need to provide a user name or password since their relay server (relay-hosting.secureserver.net) does not require authentication.
