World Zones

I installed the latest version - 2.8 by wdepot - from here.

 

In create_account.php for instance, when I from the drop down menu choose a zone that holds a special character the page won't accept that zone. But if I change a zone name in the database like from Skåne to Skåne, the zone will be accepted.

 

In the install document the author emphasises the importance of using special characters. Anyone knows what I need to do in order to be able to keep all the zones that contains html special characters?

Was wondering if you or anyone has found a fix for this? If there isnt a fix for this and you installed the world zones by wdepot you will get errors with zones with special chars in the text file. Eg. Try creating an account with Faroe Islands or Norway on your store.
