This problem has been with me quite a while but as my site becomes more popular its becoming more of an issue than before so I would like to cure it if I can. Initially I had an issue with customers not being able to complete payment with paypal when using IE but this was due to me having my shop embedded in the website and paypal not seing the url as it should. This problem is now cured but it highlighted the reason for this issue Im writing about. When a customer "confirms" an order and is redirected to PayPal to pay for it it would seem the Ecomerce site sees this order as paid for at that point. If for whatever reason the customer doesnt pay (or cant) then order is still listed on my admin list. Im not sure if also it is an issue that a correctly logged order shows as so: Date Added Customer Notified Status 11/21/2008 11:23:54 False Paid (PayPal) 11/21/2008 11:23:54 False Pending Confirmation PayPal IPN Verified [Completed (Unverified;)] 11/21/2008 11:23:58 True Pending Confirmation 11/22/2008 08:51:52 True Confirmed / Processing 11/24/2008 18:43:17 True Dispatched I change the status from pending to confirmed then to dispatched as the order progresses, however when I get one of the problem orders it only has one box and it says the same as the top one of these does (paid (paypal)) but the rest of the boxes and information are missing as the order wasnt paid for. Does anyone have this issue too and can I make it so only paid orders are stored and the unpaid ones disappear on their own. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It seems as though once confirm has been clicked on the final page of checkout the order is logged to be sent but surely it should only do so once payment has been received?
