Cannot remove rounded corners

Recommended Posts

I followed the instructions below and it didn't change:

8. … Remove / Add the rounded corners to the info boxes on the left or right columns?

Go to catalog/includes/boxes and open the corresponding file name for the box you want to change. Here is the code that will change this – look for the line that you have (eg left rounded) then change it to what you want it to be.

No rounded corners

CODE

new infoBoxHeading($info_box_contents, false, false);

Right rounded corner

CODE

new infoBoxHeading($info_box_contents, false, true);

Left rounded corner

CODE

new infoBoxHeading($info_box_contents, true, false);

Both rounded corners

CODE

new infoBoxHeading($info_box_contents, true, true);

9. … Remove / Add the rounded corners to the info boxes in the middle part of the page? (eg: New Products for MONTH)

Go to catalog/includes/modules and open the corresponding file name for the box you want to change. Change the following code to the one above that you want.

CODE

new contentBoxHeading($info_box_contents);

any ideas?????

thanks,

Michelle

I fixed it by reading in another forum category. I simply used my PaintShop Pro and made four images 11 x 14 pixels in the color I wanted. I simply named them the existing image's name and ftp'd them to the shop! Too simple! The images you wish to replace are in catalog/images/infoboxes. There's no need for hacking all that code!

Visit http://www.clearcreekscraps.com to go see how it worked out!

Why create new images? I just deleted the entire images/infobox/ folder and it looks fine.

If you just delete the folder and leave references to the images in the source code you'll end up wirh red X's all over the page (when viewing with IE).

:huh:

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.

  • 1 month later...

It was simple and fast to just make a couple of small boxes in the color I wanted. I can always go back and change those colors as many times as I wish. I can even make them a tiny pic of something simple like a letter, flower, star, circle, anything. Eh, to each his own! I like my little colored boxes :D

No one actually answered the question, Ihow do we edit the central box with the months new products it in, I have a left round corner and cant find how to put the right one there? I have managed all the other ones easily. using both recolouring and removing bits of code as well.

Keep passing the open windows.

how do we edit the central box with the months new products it in

In catalog/includes/classes/boxes.php go to line no 156/7...

array('params' => 'height="14" class="infoBoxHeading" width="100%"',
									 'text' => $contents[0]['text']),

change the class to ur custom to match ur round corner infoboxes. the text is the heading of the saying current month's products...

I have a left round corner and cant find how to put the right one there?

And on line 158/59

 array('params' => 'height="14" class="infoBoxHeading"',
   'text' => tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'infobox/corner_right_left.gif')));

Replace the picture with urs....

Plz back up ur original file before doing...

Another "quick & dirty approach is to edit the \includes\classes\boxes.php file around line 100, I've just changed the function so the image tags aren't added, but the little arrows in the upper right still are, if apllicable.

 class infoBoxHeading extends tableBox {
function infoBoxHeading($contents, $left_corner = true, $right_corner = true, $right_arrow = false) {
  $this->table_cellpadding = '0';

  if ($left_corner == true) {
	unset($left_corner);
 //   $left_corner = tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'infobox/corner_left.gif');
 // } else {
//	$left_corner = tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'infobox/corner_right_left.gif');
  }
  if ($right_arrow == true) {
	$right_arrow = '<a href="' . $right_arrow . '">' . tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'infobox/arrow_right.gif', ICON_ARROW_RIGHT) . '</a>';
  } else {
	$right_arrow = '';
  }
  if ($right_corner == true) {
  unset($right_corner);
//		$right_corner = $right_arrow . tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'infobox/corner_right.gif');
//	  } else {
//		$right_corner = $right_arrow . tep_draw_separator('pixel_trans.gif', '11', '14');
  }

Plz back up ur original file before doing...

Yes yes yes yes !
