mylilin Posted November 18, 2008 Share Posted November 18, 2008 First of all I want to thank for improvement of the “Free shipping by categories” contribution by the option “with minimum amount”. That’s just what I need for my store, so I installed and everything is fine except in the case I’m going to explain. I also have installed ¨Multizone¨ in the shipping module. The free shipping module has the following option: Enable Free Shipping for certain categories Do you want to offer free shipping for certain categories? True Maximum Weight What is the maximum weight you will ship? (zero to turn off) 0 Minimum Amount What is the minimum amount to qualify for free shipping? (zero to turn off) 200 Sort Order Sort order of display. 1 Enable Display Do you want to display text if products from needed categories not purchased? True Deduct shipping weight if Mixed Cart. Yes Categories List X, Y y Z Case 1: Mixed Cart with products from categories X, Y o Z and products from other categories. - The total amount of product from the X,Y o Z Categories is over 200 $. - also have products from other categories The module work fine, the total weight is only form by the weight of the products from other categories, the weight of the products from X,Y o Z Categories is no taken into account. Case 2: Mixed Cart with products from categories X, Y o Z and products from other categories. - The total amount of product from the X,Y o Z Categories is under 200 $. - also have products from other categories The module works wrong, the total weight is only form by the weight of the products from other categories and the weight of the products from X,Y o Z Categories is no taken into account, but in this case because the amount is under 200 $ it must be taken in the total weight. Case 3: No mixed cart, there are only product from categories X,Y o Z. - The total amount of product from the X,Y o Z Categories is over 200 $. The module works wrong, the total weight sum the weight of the products from categories X, Y o Z despite they are over 200$. Also appear an option of 0.00$ for the shipping of the product from categories X,Y o Z but the shipping weight for the zone is still the sum of all the products. Case 4: No mixed cart, there are only product from categories X,Y o Z. - The total amount of product from the X,Y o Z Categories is under 200 $. The module works fine. I hope some one can help me with this, I don´t know if I made some thing wrong with the configuration of the module, it´s possible that it is an error in the code Sorry if my English is not enough good but this is not my native language.
