FILENAME versus filename.php

I have written a program that fits in into admin/orders.php, that adds more functionality to the searchbox. The program resides on a separate file in the admin folder and

includes('myprogram.php');

in the appropriate spot in admin/order.php. adds the program nicely.

Other than important organizational reasons , what would be the advantage of defining the file in admin/filenames?

and using say:

includes(FILENAMES_MYPROGRAM);

Thank you for your assistance.

It fits in with the osC "scheme".

And if someone wanted to change the page name, it's easier and safer to edit a "filenames" file than the actual code file.

Mistakes in the filename file are easier to see and catch.

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.
