The e-commerce.

Recommended Posts

I have this oscommerce website I bought. However, I do not have access to the cpanel to change permissions or anything like that. So the sitemap I need to install has to be fairly simple but yet accommodate all search engines. I am not happy with not having access to the cpanel but that was the deal working with this supplier.

I installed a google sitemap which involved nothing more than uploading two files into my catalog file...and that worked out fine.

But what about other search engines? How do I accommodate them? From I hear...yahoo and other search engines use different sitemaps.

Is there a general one I can upload for all search engines?

First off how can you own a web site but not be able to enter the control panel?

if you are able to upload via ftp then you will also be able to change permissions.

if you install ultimate SEO then this installs to the database itself i would suggest you install this version
