Password forgotten

I have a very strange problem, and maybe someone could help, please!

 

When I click on the password forgotten link and recieve my new password in the e-mail, I try to log in using it, and fail. Then I try again, and it works - with that very same new password. It does it that way even if I close my brouser before trying to log in with this new password. After I'm logged in, it works fine, and from now on I can log in at the first attempt. So. the problem is with the very first attempt - when neither old nor new password works. What could it be?
