Recommended Posts

I'm not able to get any of the email options to work. When I try to email a customer through the website nothing ever goes through. Does any have a write-up on how to get this to work? Thank you for your help.

Have you set the email settings in Admin?

E-Mail Transport Method smtp

E-Mail Linefeeds LF

Use MIME HTML When Sending Emails true

Verify E-Mail Addresses Through DNS false

Send E-Mails true

Those are the current settings...

I also just got off the phone with my web hosting company (godaddy). They verified that everything looks good on their end, with the A records and DNS setting. I tried to change the email I have set in the admin section to a different email providors such as gmail and the hosting companies email and emails still do not go through.

Thanks for taking the time to look at this for me.

If you are NOT on a windows server, change

E-Mail Transport Method smtp

to

E-Mail Transport Method sendmail

Your store email should be in the form of you@yourdomain.com so that it comes from your domain

I'm on a windows server so I'm using smtp. I am also using an email from @mydomain.com.

I have also run email test scripts and those test scripts work.

E-Mail Linefeeds LF

is not correct, you need the other option.
