planetdoral
I don't know PHP at all, but I needed a solution for my daughter's new business and decided to try out OS Commerce. We initially launched in July, but have made a lot of changes to get it where it is now. I'm still having some issues with small stuff on the backend for which I'll seek advice in another category. We'd appreciate any constructive feedback on this project: http://www.craterlakecandles.com
Guest
If you know no php at all then you've done very well - osCommerce is quite challenging if you have no coding experience. A few comments for possible improvements: - Remove the "requests since" footer - people don't need reminding of today's date and the requests counter is meaningless - Consider installing SEO URLs or similar - You have the address in the footer - consider making it more obvious - perhaps on contact_us - I strongly advise that you get a SSL cert - On shopping_cart.php there's a broken image (above the total column) Otherwise, although very "stock" quite nicely styled. Thanks very much! That's good advice and very helpful. I'm assuming the SEO URLs to which you refer are in the add-ons so I'll take a look. I don't know php coding, but it seems that if you do the install and can read and pay attention to detail, it's not rocket science. Thanks again for the input.
