I'm not receiving notice of new order

Any ideas ? I finally received an order, but the only way i found out was that the client called me wondering what the status of their order was... I thought where it said to fill in "send additional order emails to" field, that that would send me some sort of notice when an order was placed.... but i never received anything....

 

please help !

I am having the same problem... the order does show up in our orders file.. but we are expecting the email and never get it

 

no good

 

I also checked the "send additional order emails to" i don't get it either

 

I hope we can both get some help

28 ... Get automatic notification if there is an order placed?

Log into the admin

Go to Configuration > My Store

Click on "Send Extra Order Emails To" then the Edit Button

Fill in your email address only - do not use the format that is suggested as it does not work

 

The instructions on the setup page say to write it: Name<email@address>

 

this doesn't work

 

just write the email address by itself only

Of course it works, unless you did something to stuff it up.
