lightining
Hi All - I am new to website creation. Can anyone point me into the right direction as to where i start. What do i have to download to start ceating a website based on the OS commerce platform? Can i create one by saving it on my Hard drive? I'll admit i have no idea where to start but i am determined to set one up hopefully with members help. Thanks

Thanks Search the forum for "XAMPP" this will allow you to create an OsCommerce website locally on your PC. Otherwise you would need to sign up with a website hosting company and download the OsCommerce package to start experimenting.

Which is better, experiment on my PC or sign up with a webhoisting company and down load the OsCommerce package?

Just do some homework on the webhosting company you want to go with because switching is a nuisance. Good luck :)
