I'm building a website selling motorcycle parts and i'm stuck trying to figure out the product attributes

So here's what I want to do: Let's say I have a front wheel for sale. User clicks on front wheel then I want him to sellect from 3 options:

option 1: year

option 2: Make/Brand of the motorcycle

then based on the Make/Brand chosen

option 3: Model of the bike

 

Do i need an addon installed for that?

Why not just use categories and subcategories to achieve this?

i started doing that but realized i will have way too many products. Instead of having 1 product with options, i will have to add about 20 or more (all brands, makes, models and years as well as the brand of the product)

Can't think of an add-on that will help you, but configuring attributes will take much longer in my opinion. Have you looked into easypopulate contribution? You can specify all your categories and subcategories that you want to create in an excel file then just import into the database.
