rogerger Posted November 12, 2008 Share Posted November 12, 2008 Hi all, It's nice to join the community here. I'm having some problem with oscommerce database at work. Wish someone could point me at the right direction. The scenario is like this: Originally, our company had only one site with about 3,000 products with no unique model number. At certain point, the owner decided to expand and hired someone to duplicate the content and made another site. (another db) At another point, the owner decided to expand again and made another site. (another db) So currently we have 3 different dbs having the same products, but no model numbers. Also the products.products_id are different among three sites. (after adding a bunch of products, removing ... etc.,) Moreover, the pricing on three sites are different, and the weights are different also. (due to different shipping methods) Thanks for your patience. The Question is: Is there any way that I could do some synchronization so we don't have to add the same products to each site every time? and have some sort of inventory control in this case?(for that I probably need to come out with unique model number for every product) Any Suggestion?
