lost2
Hello, I need someone to explain to me the correct way to setting up this ORDER STATUS page. I have people downloading items without paying for them and people paying for downloads and not receiving the links. The person never paid through Pay Pal and it shows as DELIVERED. I tried it out and at first it didn't work but the second time it did. I also would like to know how to set up the Google Checkout order status. Some people aren't receiving the links and I think the SSL certificate is set up correctly. Can someone please help me out there? I need to know how I can set it. Worst case would be me manually sending them the links to download and that would eliminate the whole purpose for me to have osCommerce.

FIMBLE
You set this up in your payment modules, PayPal for instance Set Preparing Order Status Set the status of prepared orders made with this payment module to this value preparing [PaYPal IPN] (symbolised by the red x under download status) -------------------------------- ---------------------------- is PENDING showing that no download is allowed as the customer has only gone to pay, not actualy paid/ once the customer returns from successful payment at PayPal the status is automatticaly updated to Set PayPal Acknowledged Order Status Set the status of orders made with this payment module to this value Processing - with the ability to download the product as payment has been made Nic Sometimes you're the dog and sometimes the lamp post [/url] My Contributions
lost2
Even though your explanation was a little confusing I appreciate your response and time. Thank you.
FIMBLE
The first status is for customers who have left your site to go and pay preparing [PaYPal IPN] the second is for customers who have paid and returned, in other words you got your money. lost2
I might sound like a lazy person but I was actually looking for a "check here, X here" response. Does this look right to you? Both PayPal and Google modules I'm having problems with. Google doesn't have the Acknowledged Order Status option. Thanks again. I appreciate all your help. FIMBLE
You go it around the wrong way! Pending (default) you should not allow and it should not be default Processing allow download and SHOULD be default Preparing [paypal ipn] download not allowed Not too sure about the google stuff but would guess it looks OK Nic Sometimes you're the dog and sometimes the lamp post [/url] My Contributions

FIMBLE
The default is whats the oscommerce sets to when it gets notification that a customer has actually made a payment and not just left to do it. lost2
Nic, you're the best. Thank you for all your help. Hopefully I won't be giving downloads to people who don't pay for them and give the downloads to those who did. Thanks again.
