product attributes through querystring?

I'm new to osCommerce, so bare with me.

 

First Question: I know that you can have an offsite link into shopping cart by adding values in the query string of the url. Can you also choose product attributes through the query string?

 

 

Second Question: Is there someway to get rid of the box headers? I added a image to the main page and I deleted the words
