Hi all!

I would like to try out oscommerce before getting a domain.

It is because i like to fix all the stuff first to see if im going to use oscommerce or a already fixed web shop.

i would like to see how much work it is to make it roll the way I want it to roll.

well im on a windows xp right now and wonder if i can build an environment witch can harbor oscommerce so i can play with it like im both a shopper and admin.

I would also like to be able to migrate all my settings and design to the permanent environment when i get a web domain so all my design and so on is not lost, Is this possible?

Thanks for all help! ^_^

Download XAMPP for windows from here. It will allow you to build an Oscommerce store locally on your PC. Also search the forum for information on XAMPP.

Not only possible but also has been done by many. "how to" is all over the place on this forum. find it using, eg, keyword "xampp".

EasyPHP is free and really easy to setup.

It has Apache, mySQL, and PHP. Just what you need.
