devilgrins
I have been given a task by my boss and I need a little help. We have an online store which sends the orders to the distributor and they email if they have been shipped. We want to automate it so when the orders have been shipped the customer is A: automatically emailed the update and B: the customers information is updated on the account. Is there a a contribution that I can use for this? If you could help me out I will really appreciate it! Kim
FIMBLE
I don't know of any contribution for this Nic Sometimes you're the dog and sometimes the lamp post [/url] My Contributions
Guest
If you get B to work automatically, A would follow. Like Fimble, I do not know of a contribution.
b2995
I could live with just selecting a status and then based on what I select, a defaulted message is sent to that customer. Anyone know of a contribution for that?
Dan Cole
This contribution will allow you to set up a different email for each order status that you define. We find it very helpful... http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/3460 Dan Need help? See this thread and provide the information requested. Is your version of osC up to date? You'll find the latest osC community version (CE Phoenix) here.

b2995
HI Dan! Thanks for the tip, but since the contribution is so old and I don't know enough to update it completely, I'm getting errors on the Admin/Orders.php and Admin/Orders_Status.php pages. It's giving me "case" errors or something. I had to uninstall it so I could continue to process my orders...thought it would be a short and sweet process. :( Hopefully someone will be willing to update the contribution to the most recent version. Thanks anyways!

b2995
I have v2.2 RC2a and about to go to v2.3.1. Some of the lines are not exactly as the ones listed, but I replaced them anyways and it gave me all kinds of errors. I'll try to post what I have in a bit... Maybe everyone can collectively update the contribution to the latest ;)
