dmnalven
After you have created the new language directory structure within includes/languages/, using the new language files, go to the admin screens Localization -> Languages -> new language to complete the installation. For ALL problems, please review this link first -> osCommerce Knowledge Base

dmnalven
Dumbness is allowed, not asking questions and expecting answers isn't. You will have to access your store's website file system to upload the unzipped files in the language pack to their corresponding locations using an FTP program, your hosting services file manager or other method. If explicit instructins are not included with the new language files, review the existing language file structure to familiarize yourself with the locations that will be used, then copy the new files to duplicate the language file structure unuder your new language's main directory, not forgetting the file named "(your_language).php" in the parent language directory where your new language directory is located. Whew. It is the same for any language. OsCommerce uses these language files to define constants that are used throughout the program, making it relatively simple to switch languages. You will notice, if you open one of these files to edit it, that the .php files are simply text files that may be edited to suit new needs or used as templates to add additional translated definitions. eddieprefere
Hello, I saw this thread and thought it might be the right place to ask my question. I have downloaded and installed and largely configured osCommerce Online Merchant v2.2 RC 2a for a French client! and have just discovered that it doesn't even contain French language files (and associated images...). so is there a place where I can download the french module or a french language addition? Please let me know where, and then I'll follow your kind directions about how to create directories, etc and install it. Otherwise I have found a french port (the MS1 or MS2 port at oscommerce.fr), but that might not contain the other languages. Thanks for any help.
