Guest
I am trying to use the cache feature in the configuration area. Every time I turn it to true I get the old categories with the install. I have many many categories and only three come up until I click on a product to go away from the home page. I have done a search in here and read until I can barely see, but I can't figure out how to flush the cache - if that is in fact the problem. The website, if you need to look at it, is http://naughtywithclass.com
spax
Are you sure it is your categories you see, once cache is enabled? On a shared server, it is possible to get another store's cats, that is also using a tmp directory.

On a shared server, it is possible to get another store's cats, that is also using a tmp directory. It seems to be the default categories that comes with the new install of osCommerce. I have removed all of the products and categories, put my own in and they seem to be there only when the cache is turned on. With it off everything is fine, but slow. Everything is great now. I did what you suggested and setup a cache directory, all is now well - and fast.
