Bjarne Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Hello everybody! :) I have installed osCommerce on my local machine using XAMPP. On the actual storefront page I get this message: "Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: C:/xampp/htdocs/catalog/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file." Can somebody please explain to me how this is done? Is it done via FTP?? Many thanks in advance! Bjarne
FIMBLE Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Yes you need to log in via ftp, and set then permissions to 444, 644 if 444 does not work. Better way is to do this from you Control panel file manager as FTP does not always work! Sometimes you're the dog and sometimes the lamp post [/url] My Contributions
