wilma2
Ok I am confused. I recently added linksmanger and headertags seo contribution but I dont think that is the problem. I can not add products! And the ones I do have are not showing up on the site. They are still in admin catalog so I know they are tehre but for some reason not showing up. Even some of the manufactuers do not show up. I have restored my database hoping that would fix all but no luck. Is the fact they are still in the admin feature mean it is not a database issue? Grateful for any help Trish I should note i have products on the first page but nothing in the cateogries or sub pages although it indicates there are products there ie car chargers (11)
♥geoffreywalton
My reading of this problem is that whilst making the changes required for the new contribution you unintentionally broke it. Have a read through the installation instructions and check each step was carried out correctly or can you restore the code back to how it was before you installed the contribution? If you take the latter path then if that works or rather when it works, it will prove it was a faulty installation. Another, but less likely option, is the contribution does not work. wilma2
I have a back up done pre installing those contributions I am going to try to restore. I think it would be easier to reinstall fresh the contributions if that fixes the problem. Am i right to think that the problem is not the database since the products are in admin? I also noticed some of the buttons are gone. like add to cart so i am confused thanks for your help

If the products can be seen in admin then it it much more likely to be an error in the code. Disappearing buttons can also be caused by errors in the code. If you have a "before" to restore from then no harm is done, you can restore and have another go. wilma2
That is kinda what i thoguht to. But was not sure. I learnt the hard way to back up things. But I am relieved to know you do not think it is anything more then coding. I do not remember what i installed before the backup but the main thing is to get the site going again. All I am doing is ftp'ing the public_html folder and overwriting is that right?

♥geoffreywalton
Don't worry we all get bitten in the b*m by this, a missing ; or > can mess up a site big time. Often it is just a case of loooking at the generated page source and it is obvious what is wrong other times it is hours of frustration.
