Images won't upload to Categories

Hi,

 

I'm having a few issues uploading images to the categories for heading images. They've been working perfectly for the past 14 months and then all of a sudden last wednesday they stopped working and now I can't upload new ones, or modify them as it just wipes them from the database and yet it never used to do this.

 

At first I thought it could be a corrupted image but we've used 5 different computers, 3 different cameras, multiple file extensions and yet still ... nothing wants to work.

 

Does anybody have any idea as to how I could solve this please. Thanks in advance,

First, I would check the read/write permissions on your image folder, and every folder in the path that leads to it.

I've altered the permissions to read, write, execute on everything (chmod 777) and nothing, and I've then tried a few different permissions settings but still to no avail. Don't suppose you've got any other ideas at all please ?

Have you run out of room on the server?

Sorry took so long to reply been ran off my feet here.

 

I've checked the space on the server and we have unlimited web space and are only using 86meg on there atm which makes it a tad more confussing.
