miki_dora
freetemplatesonline.com has a couple oscommerce available. So I downloaded and installed # 50, a great looking template and spent hours in it, making graphic changes etc, but the next day when I decided to login into admin, it never requested a user/id! I installed it as per instructions and everything works - Except when I click to get into the admin section, it does not require a user id & password! It seems anybody can view the entire administration section... ( osc/admin ) Is this common? Has anybody ever encountered such a thing?
web-project
it seems to me that you are using old oscommerce application, in this case using web hosting control panel you need to protecting directory by create the admin username & password. Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here! 8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself. Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues. Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.
