88guy Posted October 31, 2008 Share Posted October 31, 2008 I have the following version installed: 07/03/2007 osCommerce Online Merchant 2.2 RC1 I assembled this cart about a year ago, as a test, and now I desperately need to get it working. I have gone to the USPS website repeatedly and I don't know what I am doing wrong. They issue me a username and password, I call them at the 800 number and they tell me everything has been "switched over", I tick the "production" setting (with username and password entered), weights for products are input in the back end, and I keep getting a message that "An error occured with the USPS shipping calculations" when I make a test purchase. I have a webste at www.ewarecomputers.com that links to a secure server which resides at https://secure.netkwik.com/os5/catalog/checkout_shipping.php. For the URL (at the USPS web site), the last time, I entered "secure.netkwik.com" - I am wondering if this is where I am going wrong. The first couple of times I entered "www.ewarecomputers.com". Can anyone, who has done this, tell me what could possibly be wrong? Nothing works. Do I need to enter the "https://" before the secure.netkwik.com on the USPS site? argh...... After about 10 attempts, registering at the USPS site - and it still didn't work - I deleted some dummy account I'd created (just to clear things out.....) and - SUDDENLY - it worked.
