pfwd Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 I am doing a site for a company that sells leather bags and accessories. I have set up the color choices for each item on the product attributes page. I would like for the first option to be "Choose a color" in the drop-down box where they choose the color. That way, if they forget to specify a color, the order will have "Choose a color" for the color and my client will know they didn't specify and can contact them to find out what color they prefer. I tried adding "Choose a color" as an option value for items, but I don't seem to have any way to make it the FIRST option listed for each product. I tried making it ID #1 in the Option Values list and then assigning it to products in the bottom section. Sometimes that made it show up first on the item's drop-down color choice list, but sometimes it didn't. So is there a way to control what order the choices display for a product attribute, or is there another way to make "Choose a color" the first choice on the product page? I have searched the forums and the contributions, but have not found anything. Maybe I am using the wrong search terms.
