Place product with options into shopping cart from outsite Oscommerce

How does one place a product with option value (i.e., color) into the osCommerce shopping cart from outside osCommerce?

 

A friend wants to allow visitors to directly place products with option values into the osCommerce shopping cart from a very basic html-based site without having to pass through the osCommerce subpages. Any thoughts?
