problem with installation process

Hello I have followed all the installation steps and I am attempting to enter the correct information into these fields -

 

 

 

Database Server - (The address of the database server in the form of a hostname or IP address.)

Username

Password

Database system.

 

What do I enter in the Database Server Field? I have tried "localhost" as well as the shared server ip and many other variations but get various errors including -

 

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'database' at line 1

This error message indicates that you are connected to your MySQL server. The problem is elsewhere.

 

Please doublecheck your configure.php files and post back with full error messages, including the file name that generated the error.
