yourpetmedssolution.com
Hello. This is my first post but I have been using this website for information for the past 2 weeks. I have finally began to get my site up and running. I installed oscommerce and after installation I got this: New Installation osCommerce Configuration Warning: fopen(C:/Inetpub/vhosts/yourpetmedssolution.com/httpdocs/index.html/includes/configure.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\yourpetmedssolution.com\httpdocs\index.html\install\templates\pages\install_7.php on line 209 Warning: fputs(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\yourpetmedssolution.com\httpdocs\index.html\install\templates\pages\install_7.php on line 210 Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\yourpetmedssolution.com\httpdocs\index.html\install\templates\pages\install_7.php on line 211 Warning: fopen(C:/Inetpub/vhosts/yourpetmedssolution.com/httpdocs/index.html/admin/includes/configure.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\yourpetmedssolution.com\httpdocs\index.html\install\templates\pages\install_7.php on line 259 Warning: fputs(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\yourpetmedssolution.com\httpdocs\index.html\install\templates\pages\install_7.php on line 260 Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\yourpetmedssolution.com\httpdocs\index.html\install\templates\pages\install_7.php on line 261 The configuration was successful! I have done some reading and noticed I had to do something with chmod and a bunch of three numbers. I really dont know what I am doing but I wanted to learn so I could some day get another website up and running. I would like to thank you for any suggestions you will have in advance and hope to hear from you soon. Thanks
spax
It looks like you are on a Windows setup so chmod wont apply to you. When you upload the files to the server, you need to make sure the 2 configure files are not Read Only. You can do that by right clicking on them and selecting Properties or from your control panel. However, once you have gone through the installation process, you need to make them Read Only.
