I still have many items to add and I know some of the picture quality may not suit everyone but I'm almost happy with that.

Babies and Ladies

Hello Jack,

Looks nice.

What code did you use for the category drop down box? I'm curious as I have one that is having issues with SEO and would like to compare with the code you used.

Thanks.

Pretty good looking site overall. BUT - The picture quality doesn't have to suit just you, it has to please and entice your customers to buy your stuff. This cannot be over-emphasized. You need the graphics in your layout (e.g., the baby in your header) to be sharp, crisp, and clean, in order to present a professional image. Product images need to be as good as they can possibly be, to pull the customer in, and make them want your products. If either of these aspects are ignored, you're going to lose customers.

Your breadcrumb trail has the first two links pointing to the same page. You've changed the "Catalog" to "Our Catalog," so I'm guessing you know how to change this. I personally prefer to have just "Home" as the first one, and skip the catalog one altogether.

On your text links, the mouseover color is set to a pale yellow, which makes the links almost disappear when hovered over. I was guilty of this on my first go, too. I'd change that to some other color, or maybe have the text background go darker, or just leave it black with the underline on mouseover.

Speaking of text links, in your main text on your front page, the "Contact Us" link opens a new browser window.

Also, when I hit any link that goes to a secure page, I get the insidious "This page contains both secure and non-secure items..." warning. The guilty element appears to be your banner. Look around, there are several threads about properly installing and configuring the SSL, two of which are right near the top of the "Tips & Tricks" forum right now. And, on the topic of security, I'd move the security seal to the bottom of the page.

Namasté,

Russ

One: people are not wearing enough hats. Two: matter is energy. In the universe, there are many energy fields which we cannot normally perceive. Some energies have a spiritual source which act upon a person's soul. However, this soul does not exist ab initio, as orthodox Christianity teaches. It has to be brought into existence by a process of guided self-observation. However, this is rarely achieved, owing to man's unique ability to be distracted from spiritual matters by everyday trivia.

I just found this addon in Oscom addons

Category Drop Down List

Replace the file catalog/includes/boxes/catagories.php in your store with this one and you will have a drop down category list.

I agree with the above poster.. you can see jagged edges all around the baby's head.. I also think the SSL image is out of place.. the shopping cart should always be in the top because its one of the most important things on your page.

If you are going to have a manuacturers drop down, you should have images for every manufacturer. I choose HEADGEAR and there was a "Image not Available" there and it looks unprofessional

You really need ot revist your product_listing page. it looks really odd

Some of your products dont really have images.. Like the one with just a picture of the word PHILLIPS

Right changed the picture of the baby, moved the SSL accross and down on the left. As far as the pictures for manufacturers are concered I don't want pictures I'm using thier logos. Some of them don't have a logo. The one that just say Phillips is their logo from thier website. If you lok at baby monitor you will see there is products from Phillips and you will see their logo on each picture. I have change the hover colour to grey to match other colours.

Some of your products dont really have images.. Like the one with just a picture of the word PHILLIPS I don't understand how you can say products don't have pictures. every product has a picture.

Maybe I will change image not available to logo not available.

When i spoke about the phillips, i was actually talking about a specific PRODUCT that didnt have a product image and just said PHILLIPS where the product image should be.

THIS PRODUCT has no product image... thats not really a good thing.

You should try to get images for ALL of your products.. not a product not available anything

some of your descriptions are very long and the add to cart button is right at the bottom might help if you have the button nearer the top too.

best of luck
