Have you got access to the database? If so you can export an XLS from it. Phpmyadmin will get you in.

xls is an Excel Spreadsheet and phpmyadmin is a way of reading an sql database.

If you have access to the database then you can export from it somehow? How do you access it?

You need to export the customers and address book tables.

Assuming your hosting service is an Internet Service Provider (ISP) and you have an account with them, do you have access to the control panel for your ISP account. This normally allows you to do all things concerning your ISP account via a secure web interface, like order new domain names, alter your email configuration, suchlike. Normally, one of the options in this control panel is to manipulate one or more mySQL databases using a tool called phpMyAdmin.

If you have access to such a control panel for your ISP account, see if you can see an option to click called phpMyAdmin or "mySQL Administration", something like that. If so, you should be able to select the osCommerce database you're using and then select some of the tables there to save as an Excel Spreadsheet (.xls) format file. Alternatively, you could save them in a .csv format file (Comma separated values) and import that into your spreadsheet program on your PC. Either way, what you're looking to do is download part of your database to your local PC where it will get stored in a spreadsheet readable format.

From what you said above, you'll be interested in downloading the "address_book" and "customers" tables only.

What you've done so far is use the osCommerce admin interface to download osCommerce PHP source files... nothing to do with your database itself.
