mattb348
I started using fck editor and I love it, but there is one problem with it that I am having. When I go to add an image using fck, if I try to upload a picture or even "browse server for images", it gives me this error: "error creating folder "userfiles/../images/" (permission denied) I don't have a "catalog" DIR; I just have all of the files in my root directory (IE: my whole site is reached just by going to www.mysite.com) Any ideas? I set the permissions to my "images" folder (in the root DIR) to 777 as per the fck installation instructions provided here.

germ
I set the permissions to my "images" folder (in the root DIR) to 777 as per the fck installation instructions provided here. That is a HUGE mistake. YOU WILL GET HACKED. It's only a question of when, and how bad will it be. :o No web accessible folder should have permission higher than 755 If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.
