It worked fine for the 1st year but now i'm running into slow page loads. I want to use a dedicated server but i have limited knowledge to set it up. Any recommendations on a good web hosting company with good pricing?
♥Vger Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Be careful with Virtual Private Servers. They are mostly 'unmanaged', and even when they say they are managed it's very limited. Mostly they'll just restore the server to its default setup if anything goes wrong - minus your website which will be up to you to restore from your own backup. With full dedicated servers you also want one which is Fully Managed - which means any problem and the hosting company sorts it out for you. Don't go for a real cheapie with a Celeron Chip - it will spend more time down than up. If you can afford it go for dual chip and dual disc with Raid 1. Vger
