lindsayanng Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 I have been in theprocess of really trying to up the ante on getting my site listed in the top of google's search for certain key words.. While i work on optimizing images and giving them alt names and such, i also have been looking A LOT into backlinking. I am installing the LINK EXCHANGE contribution which will definitely help, but i am also trying to get some good quality one way links.. I found that SOME blogs are really awesome for this!! So i researched and found programs like comment hut and comment kahuna that help you find some dofollow blogs that also relate to your keywords.. my BIGGEST issue is that i have not found ONE that actually works with a darn MAC!! if anyone has found one to work with a mac, PLEASE let me know.. on another note, i would love to hear from feedback from all of you who might know a little more about these things. P.s. I do not plan on Spamming blogs with my links.. I actually would like to read them and post a real comment on them.. And why not get a little luv in the doing? right? ♥Vger Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 If you use Firefox on a Mac you should be okay. It should only be Safari that has a problem. Vger
burt Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Not only have I used them, I created one. In my enforced layoff from osCommerce I went heavily into automated website creation and SEO (both black and white hat). Comment Hut is made my good friend Paul (known him for around 6 or 7 years) - if you tell him that Gary Burton sent you he might do you a deal. He also owns a few other such sites (which you might get to know of in the future). Note that most programs will run on a windows emulator on mac, parallels etc.
lindsayanng Posted October 24, 2008 Author Posted October 24, 2008 yea.. I actually emailed with Paul for a little while, and ofcoarse complained to him about the fact that he DID NOT create the same product for macs.. And ofcoarse he told me to get a windows emulator, but those things are expensive! So Burt, would you mind PMing me a link to yours? Would it work on my macs? Vger.. These programs do not work on the browsers, but on the local desktop... So far, i have resorted to the "ghetto rigged" way of searching for do follow blogs which is to go to google and actually search for the "ifollowblue.gif" in sites and THEN put my relevent topic. Since the U Comment I follow movement, LOTS of blogs that allow follows also have the ifollow gif, i can search any site that has that gif in google.. but the results arent NEARLY as good as one of those programs. I actually downloaded a free one which only shows about 50 results per search (because it was free) and REALLY LIKE IT!! but i would LOVE to have a program like that on my home computer.
