possible, simply edit the configure.php files by hand and upload files via ftp protocol.

Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here!

8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself.

Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues.

Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.

Create an additional temporary database and configure the install to use this, then edit your configure files to use the original database.

This will only work if you did not install any addons that modified the database. Otherwise your installation will not work until you have made the identical modifications to your new install of your final site.

For ALL problems, please review this link first -> osCommerce Knowledge Base

I dont know if this will help, but couldn't you just overwrite all the changed php files, dont most contributions usually add tables, not convert ones being used and therefor the database should be fine to use with a new installation or without the modified php files, it would just have tables that are not used!. if you had a ftp program that could synchronise (dreamweaver, smartftp etc) with the server and just upload the changed files from an un modified 2.2??? (sorry if this is way off)

Another way you can do it is to do a backup of your current information. Then create a temporary backup folder and copy your backup files into that temporary folder. Then after your installation, move the backup files back into your backup folder and restore the data.
