callenords Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 PayPal Website Payments Standard automatically creates an order under “Previous Orders” (order status=Preparing) even though clients haven’t paid yet. Is it possible to remove this, so that previous orders only are the ones the clients actually paid for? Thanks!
FIMBLE Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 By default it makes the order preparing [paypal standard] then once the customer return the order is updated to Pending. You can change all of this via your admin panel admin / modules / payment Nic Sometimes you're the dog and sometimes the lamp post [/url] My Contributions
cactusrob Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 PayPal Website Payments Standard automatically creates an order under “Previous Orders” (order status=Preparing) even though clients haven’t paid yet. Is it possible to remove this, so that previous orders only are the ones the clients actually paid for? Thanks! We are already set up to accept the 4 major credit cards and have been taking orders with these as payment for years. Last week I added PayPal as a payment option and under (admin / modules / payment) I set the module to show the orders as pending. I have received several PayPal payment notifications from different customers (and I have accepted their funds in my PayPal account). However, their orders are not showing up in my shopping cart. I.E. I have the customer's money but no idea of what they have ordered. Any advice? Rob Anderson
callenords Posted October 20, 2008 Author Posted October 20, 2008 Thanks! But I've noticed a problem if a client creates an order without paying (status = preparing [paypal standard] ) and then logs out. When the client logs in again with a new "guest cart" it creates a new order (preparing [paypal standard] ). Suddenly the client has two orders! What could be wrong? Is it my cache settings?
callenords Posted October 22, 2008 Author Posted October 22, 2008 I got it... Changed it under Admin --> Localization --> Orders Status
