Help with Error Please

Hello everybody!

I'm unable to open my online catalog. I was just deleting the message in the welcome page ... index.php. I'm not a computer person and I dont know how to fix it now. Please help me with this error:

Hello

I am not sure what you deleted, but the welcome message is found in catalog/includes/languages/english/index.php and the error points to catalog/includes/languages/english.php. If this is a NEW install then overwrite both of those two files from the OsCommerce package and see. BACKUP FIRST if there any any changes you want to save.

Thank for your replay.

This is what I did on ../catalog/includes/languages/english/index.php I went ahead and deleted the default text on define('TEXT_MAIN', ' This is a default setup of the osCommerce project,

products shown are for............................... This shop is running

on osCommerce version ' . PROJECT_VERSION .

'. ');

then I delete the tex what is new here on define('HEADING_TITLE', 'What's New Here?');

New Here?');

I left the ' ' and now I got the message error Tstring, etc.

Check line 42, you've got:

define('TEXT_BUY', 'Buy 1 '');
define('TEXT_NOW', '' now');

and it should be:

define('TEXT_BUY', 'Buy 1 \'');
define('TEXT_NOW', '\' now');

I assume you've got some product name or other that you insert between the TEXT_BUY and TEXT_NOW so that it gets quoted. To have it not quoted just remove the escaped ' char (i.e. remove \' ) on each line.
