rbuitron Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 Hello, I have a question concerning SEO (Search engine optimization). I have a working osCommerce installation that I copied from one folder to another on my web server. Everything seems to be working but I am having a problem with the SEO module. The module will translate my browser pages so that any URL with a PHP extension is converted to an HTML extension in order for search engines to recognize the links however the links with the HTML extensions are not found. Can anyone shed some light on what may be happening please? Thanks in advance Robert Quote
♥toyicebear Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 Check your .htaccess file , the correct rewrite rules have to be in effect in that file for such rewrites to work. If they are there and are correct , then check that your hosting supports mod rewrite. Thanks you for this info I found out that the problem was in the htaccess file with the RewriteBase command that did not reflect the correct folder. Robert. Quote
